Colecovision

Ahh, those nifty controller pads with all the buttons . . that RAINE-esque logo . . SMURFS . . . it could only be the Colecovision! This was a system that did fairly well, had some excellent games (galaxian, BC's quest for Tires and of course SMURFS) and was a definite step up from the 2600 . . . I had one, I loved it, it was my little shnookums . . and yet I have NO idea where it went . . . probably trashed by ignorant parent-type figures :( Anyhow, I recommend checking this puppy out if you haven't yet . . emulation is good, roms are small, and within minutes you'll be rockin' n rollin' . . . I consider the colecovision a retro-vintage classic; coleco themselves were an interesting company, and their stab at home consoles deserves to live on in the hearts of gamers . . .

Virtual Colecovision

Again, I usually favor the win emulators, simply because they're more convenient for me . . . Virtual Colecovision does sound, windowed/fullscreen, and has good compatibility, so I find myself turning to it most often . . .

A FAST DOS emu that has a 3/4 compatibility rate, sound (AWE32 or GUS only), and a funky name . . prolly your best bet if your system is slooow

COLEm

Marat's original code was influential in getting colecovision emulation started; his emu has been ported to tons of systems - we recommend visiting the colem page for the full details . . .
